Digital Marketing Lead
Our client is seeking a Digital Marketing Lead to drive global digital and social strategy for an iconic basketball-focused brand and a companion product launch platform. This role connects brand and product priorities to consumer-facing digital experiences, building a cohesive journey across owned platforms, off-platform channels, athlete integration, and key marketplace moments. It is a single role embedded in two teams, with a separate plan for each.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Digital Marketing Lead Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of distinct global digital marketing strategies for each of the two brand teams.
- Translate business priorities into clear digital consumer journeys and channel plans.
- Build connectivity across seasonal releases and brand moments so each brand tells a consistent story over time.
- Provide creative marketing vision, ideas, and insight to shape digital campaigns and storytelling.
- Drive digital marketing plans for key product launches, including briefs, channel strategy, and holistic ecosystem activation.
- Partner with brand, creative, communications, creator, regional, and agency teams to bring seasonal stories to life.
- Shape the evolution of each brand’s presence across owned and off-platform channels, developing premium, bespoke digital experiences.
- Move each digital ecosystem from campaign-led executions toward a more connected, evergreen consumer experience.
- Explore new digital formats, technologies, and creator partnerships that deepen consumer engagement.
- Drive global marketing direction while enabling regionally relevant adaptations.
- Build strong working relationships across global and regional teams, and clarify deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and decision-making.
- Represent Global Digital Marketing in seasonal and launch planning forums.
- Manage time and priorities across both teams, and raise conflicts early with both leads.
- Establish KPIs with analytics partners, monitor engagement and business signals, and identify optimization opportunities.
- Capture learnings across launches and deliver recommendations and a roadmap for each brand to ensure continuity beyond the assignment.
Digital Marketing Lead Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in global digital marketing, brand marketing, integrated marketing, e-commerce, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of and experience in basketball culture, including an understanding of the legacy and consumer of an iconic athlete-driven brand.
- Proven ability to provide creative marketing vision and translate brand and business strategy into consumer-facing digital plans.
- Demonstrated ability to build connectivity across seasonal releases and brand moments.
- Strong project leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders against competing deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in ambiguous environments and a matrixed organization, as a self-starter who gets things done.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to present to peers and senior leadership.
- Expert-level proficiency in Keynote for building presentations.
- Deep understanding of digital consumer behavior, modern digital platforms, and social trends.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
- Previous experience at a global athletic footwear and apparel brand or within the industry, highly preferred.
- Experience managing digital ecosystems.
- Experience with e-commerce, social media, and influencer or creator culture management.
- Experience in footwear, sneaker culture, streetwear, entertainment, or youth culture.
- Understanding of sneaker culture, launch moments, and the launch-platform consumer.
