Accounts Payable Specialist
A local non-profit organization is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to support a fast-paced finance team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for an experienced AP professional who thrives in a high-volume environment, delivers exceptional internal customer service, and takes pride in maintaining accuracy while meeting critical deadlines. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and enjoys contributing to a collaborative, diverse, and mission-driven workplace.
This role is a hybrid model in downtown Seattle, Washington, requiring 2 days per week in-office.
Accounts Payable Specialist Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of invoices, check requests, and weekly payment transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
- Reconcile accounts and assist with routine accounts payable activities to ensure timely and accurate processing.
- Monitor and respond to the accounts payable inbox while providing professional customer service to internal and external contacts.
- Print and prepare checks while supporting the day-to-day operations of a collaborative accounts payable team.
- Maintain organized financial records and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Accounts Payable Specialist Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience processing high-volume accounts payable transactions.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage Intacct is preferred, ERP experience is required.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience supporting a non-profit, social services, or other mission-driven organization is preferred. Candidates with senior living or property management experience are encouraged to apply!
Compensation: $28-$32/hr. (DOE)
