Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator
Our client is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator to support and strengthen workplace safety and environmental compliance within a dynamic manufacturing environment. This individual will be a hands-on, approachable resource who can build strong relationships across departments, communicate safety expectations effectively, and proactively identify opportunities to reduce risk. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing day-to-day priorities while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This role is on-site in McMinnville, Oregon.

Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and ongoing improvement of environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct routine facility inspections, safety observations, and hazard assessments while coordinating corrective actions to minimize workplace risks.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, audits, incident investigations, environmental reporting, and maintaining accurate EHS documentation.
• Coordinate employee safety training, new-hire orientations, safety communications, and initiatives that promote employee engagement and awareness.
• Monitor environmental and occupational safety programs, track performance metrics, and collaborate with department leaders to drive continuous improvement.

Environmental Health & Safety Coordinator Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of EHS experience, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, manufacturing safety practices, and environmental compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with safety programs such as lockout/tagout, machine guarding, hazardous materials, PPE, and incident investigation, along with environmental programs such as waste management and spill prevention.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence safe work practices across all levels of an organization.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and follow corrective actions through completion; proficiency in Microsoft Office required. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field and OSHA 30-Hour training are preferred.

Salary: $70K-$90K/year. (DOE)
