Shipping Clerk
Our client is seeking an experienced Shipping Clerk to prepare, package, and ship customer orders, and to receive and process incoming materials. This is a hands-on role that combines computer-based inventory and shipping work with physical warehouse tasks. Previous experience is strongly desired.

This role is on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Shipping Clerk Responsibilities

• Prepare, pack, and secure customer orders and parts using appropriate materials and protective methods, so items arrive accurate and undamaged.
• Create shipping labels and documentation for local and outbound deliveries using UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager.
• Review work orders and coordinate with Quality Control to prioritize shipments and meet delivery deadlines.
• Receive and unload deliveries, inspect incoming parts for condition, and verify quantities and part numbers against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Enter received items into inventory and store them in designated locations to keep inventory records accurate.
• Perform protective packaging such as bagging, boxing, shrink wrapping, and “bag and tag,” following work order notes or best practices.
• Build, band, and palletize shipments, and assist with loading trucks safely.
• Communicate with team members, management, customers, and drivers to resolve issues and keep operations on track.
• Keep the warehouse clean and organized, and use downtime to prep pallets, tape boxes, and support the team.
• Take on additional duties as needed.

Shipping Clerk Qualifications

• 3–4 years of shipping experience in a warehouse or production environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and shipping platforms such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and DHL.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating well with others.
• Reliable and dependable, with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance.
• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift and lift up to 50 lbs., using carts and pallet jacks as needed.
• Reliable transportation, and flexibility to work overtime when needed to meet expedited orders.

Preferred:

• Forklift experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with customer shipping portals.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation: $23/hr. (DOE)
