Senior Full Stack Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design, build, and deliver sophisticated cloud-based applications across the full technology stack. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who can independently translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, take ownership from architecture through production, and confidently partner with technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings strong front-end and back-end development expertise along with deep, hands-on AWS experience supporting production environments.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Full Stack Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of complex full stack applications and features, from requirements and technical architecture through deployment and production support.
• Architect and manage production solutions in AWS, selecting appropriate cloud services and designing for scalability, resiliency, security, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Develop scalable back-end services, REST and GraphQL APIs, microservices, and event-driven solutions that integrate with enterprise applications, data platforms, and operational systems.
• Build responsive, accessible, and high-performing front-end applications using React, TypeScript, and modern web development practices.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or AWS CDK to support consistent, version-controlled environments across the software development lifecycle.
• Create and enhance automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or similar technologies, including deployment strategies that minimize production risk.
• Establish production monitoring and observability through structured logging, metrics, dashboards, distributed tracing, and actionable alerting using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and related tools.
• Partner with data engineering teams to integrate applications with data warehouses, analytical pipelines, real-time feeds, and event-driven data workflows.
• Design secure data access patterns, including appropriate authorization, privacy controls, and row-level security based on application and regulatory requirements.
• Develop production-ready AI and LLM-enabled capabilities, including prompt workflows, API integrations, output validation, error handling, and fallback strategies.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture discussions, documentation, code reviews, troubleshooting, and mentorship of other engineers.
• Collaborate directly with stakeholders to clarify requirements, evaluate technical trade-offs, communicate recommendations, and ensure solutions meet business and operational needs.

Senior Full Stack Engineer Qualifications

• Extensive professional software engineering experience with demonstrated ownership of complex, production-grade applications across both front-end and back-end systems.
• Deep, hands-on AWS experience designing and operating production solutions, with the ability to independently select and implement appropriate cloud services based on technical requirements.
• Strong experience with AWS technologies such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, VPC, CloudFront, S3, RDS/Aurora, DynamoDB, EventBridge, Step Functions, and SQS.
• Advanced full stack development experience, including React, TypeScript, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and modern application architecture.
• Hands-on experience developing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
• Strong experience implementing automated CI/CD processes and production deployment strategies using GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or comparable tooling.
• Demonstrated experience designing applications for reliability and observability, including logging, monitoring, tracing, performance management, and production incident troubleshooting.
• Experience integrating application platforms with data warehouses, analytical systems, data pipelines, and real-time or event-driven data sources.
• Experience implementing secure application and data access patterns appropriate for enterprise and regulated environments.
• Experience incorporating AI or LLM capabilities into production applications, including API integration, prompt design, validation, and reliability safeguards.
• Proven ability to independently assess technical problems, make sound architectural decisions, clearly communicate trade-offs, and take accountability for delivered solutions.
• Strong collaboration and technical leadership skills, with experience conducting code reviews, mentoring engineers, and working directly with clients or business stakeholders.

Salary: $135K-$160K/year. (DOE)
