Project Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives within a healthcare environment. This role is ideal for a highly organized and collaborative project leader who can manage multiple priorities, bring structure to large-scale initiatives, and effectively partner with stakeholders and project teams to drive work from planning through successful delivery.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or North Dakota and be willing to work PST hours. Possible occasional travel based on business needs.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale and concurrent projects from initiation through implementation and closeout, ensuring deliverables meet established scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource needs, dependencies, budgets, and measurable outcomes.
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, issues, scope changes, resource constraints, and competing priorities, developing mitigation or contingency plans as needed.
  • Coordinate cross-functional project teams, establish responsibilities, and provide direction to keep workstreams aligned and progressing toward established objectives.
  • Partner with business sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams to clarify requirements, evaluate solutions, resolve issues, and support effective decision-making.
  • Prepare and communicate project updates, status reports, metrics, risks, and recommendations to project teams, business partners, and senior leadership.
  • Manage project financials and resource allocation, monitoring variances and recommending adjustments to support timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Apply established project management methodologies, governance practices, and PMO standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate resolution of project challenges while maintaining productive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Support continuous improvement of project management practices and provide guidance or mentorship to other project professionals.

Project Manager Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive project and/or program management experience, including leadership of large, complex, and concurrent initiatives.
  • Project management experience within the healthcare or health insurance industry is required.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects within established scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of formal project management methodologies and practices, including familiarity with PMI and PMBOK principles.
  • Proven ability to manage project planning, budgets, resources, risks, issues, dependencies, scope changes, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges and develop practical mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, including experience communicating with senior leadership and business sponsors.
  • Experience using project management tools to develop schedules, track deliverables, monitor progress, and report project performance.
  • Strong leadership and relationship-building skills with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate effectively across business functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Project management certification is strongly preferred; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to work primarily Pacific Time Zone hours, with flexibility for occasional schedule adjustments, overtime, or travel as business needs require.
