Associate Business Systems Analyst
Our client is seeking an Associate Business Systems Analyst to support data-driven business operations by translating business needs into technical solutions, analyzing complex data, and helping ensure accurate, high-quality deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. This individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to support production processes, perform data research, and contribute to a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, adaptability, and strong communication are essential.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must be located in DC, FL, NY, NC, OH, MD, NJ, SC, VA, CT, DE, GA, IN, KY, MA, MI, or PA.

Associate Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities

• Develop and document technical specifications, business requirements, and supporting documentation based on functional and operational needs.
• Write, execute, and analyze SQL queries to research, validate, and troubleshoot data while ensuring business requirements are accurately reflected.
• Analyze, map, and transform data to support system processes, data integrations, and ETL-related activities.
• Collaborate with business partners, technical teams, quality analysts, and project stakeholders to define solutions and maintain efficient project execution.
• Perform data validation, quality assurance, reconciliations, and user acceptance testing to confirm accurate and reliable system outcomes.
• Monitor production workflows, identify data issues or inconsistencies, and coordinate timely resolution of operational challenges.
• Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, to analyze data, prepare reports, and support project documentation.
• Assist with project planning by working with project teams to capture required tasks, timelines, and technical deliverables.
• Follow established development standards, documentation practices, and internal procedures while maintaining accurate project records and time tracking.
• Communicate project updates, technical findings, and recommendations clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Associate Business Systems Analyst Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Experience working in a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Process Analyst, or similar analytical role supporting business and technical teams.
• Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries for data analysis, research, and validation.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced experience using Microsoft Excel.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and an understanding of data structures and SQL concepts.
• Familiarity with data mapping, data transformations, and ETL processes is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor information for different audiences.
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities, adapt quickly in a deadline-driven environment, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality while collaborating effectively across cross-functional teams.

Compensation: $24-$29/hr. (DOE)
