Program Manager
Our client is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Program Manager to lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives within a dynamic healthcare environment. This role is responsible for driving alignment across multiple workstreams while ensuring successful delivery of large-scale programs. The ideal candidate brings deep program management expertise along with hands-on experience in key healthcare business functions, enabling them to navigate complexity, influence stakeholders, and deliver measurable results.

This role is fully remote. Applicants are required to work PST hours.

Program Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end program execution across multiple concurrent workstreams, ensuring alignment on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Drive program governance, planning, and execution for large-scale, cross-functional initiatives with enterprise impact.
  • Manage interdependencies across business, operational, and technical teams to ensure cohesive program delivery.
  • Partner with stakeholders across finance, front office, middle office, and back office functions to support critical initiatives.
  • Consolidate inputs, assess risks, and provide clear recommendations to leadership to support informed decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain program roadmaps, status reporting, and executive-level communications.
  • Identify, escalate, and mitigate risks related to integration efforts, organizational change, and resource constraints.
  • Establish and track KPIs to measure program performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Navigate shifting priorities and ambiguity while maintaining focus on delivery and outcomes.

Program Manager Qualifications

  • 10+ years of program or project management experience, including leadership of large-scale, enterprise initiatives.
  • Proven experience within a healthcare environment, with exposure to regulated operations and cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one of the following domains:
    • Finance: Experience supporting actuarial, underwriting, revenue cycle, or risk adjustment functions, including exposure to enterprise financial systems.
    • Front Office: Experience in customer-facing business functions such as sales, marketing, or digital engagement.
    • Middle Office: Experience supporting clinical and operational domains including care management, appeals, quality, population health, pharmacy, or provider operations.
    • Back Office: Experience in core operational functions such as claims administration and supporting systems/platforms.
  • Experience supporting organizational integration efforts such as mergers, acquisitions, or affiliations is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed environments and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive clarity and alignment.
  • Experience managing programs with multiple workstreams, dependencies, and executive visibility.
  • Proficiency with program management tools such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar certifications are preferred.
