Health Care Services Project Implementation Leader
Our client is seeking a strategic and highly organized Health Care Services Project Implementation Leader to drive complex healthcare initiatives from planning through execution in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. This role is ideal for a collaborative project leader who can bring structure to ambiguity, align diverse stakeholders, and successfully implement programs, process improvements, and operational initiatives that support organizational goals.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must be located in Utah, Oregon, Washington, or Idaho.

Health Care Services Project Implementation Leader Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex healthcare business initiatives, including new program implementations, operational improvements, and enterprise-level strategic projects.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource coordination, risk mitigation, issue resolution, budget tracking, and executive status reporting.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination across cross-functional teams, business leaders, operational partners, and external stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and alignment with project objectives.
  • Facilitate project meetings, assign deliverables, monitor progress, and drive accountability to ensure milestones and deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Evaluate project scope, business requirements, and operational impacts to determine effective implementation strategies and support scalable process improvements.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, implementation plans, status updates, process workflows, and outcome reporting to support organizational transparency and compliance.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and recommendations clearly to leadership and stakeholders through both written and verbal updates.
  • Analyze operational challenges, identify process gaps, and develop practical solutions that improve workflows, service delivery, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure new processes, policies, and procedural changes are clearly documented and operationally sustainable at implementation.
  • Support cross-departmental initiatives, special projects, and governance activities as needed.

Health Care Services Project Implementation Leader Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in healthcare project management, healthcare operations, program implementation, healthcare administration, or a related environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and organizational change.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, coordinate, and drive results across project teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, dependencies, risks, and issue resolution simultaneously across multiple initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with leadership, business partners, external organizations, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess challenges, interpret data, and implement effective solutions.
  • Experience creating project documentation, implementation materials, status reporting, process workflows, and operational communications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and common project management software such as Microsoft Project, Visio, or similar platforms.
  • PMP certification or formal project management training is preferred.
  • Experience within healthcare, health plan operations, clinical services, payer environments, or regulated healthcare organizations strongly preferred.

Compensation: $Up to $56.67/hr. (DOE)
