Program Manager
Our client is seeking a seasoned Program Manager to lead and coordinate complex, enterprise-level initiatives within a healthcare environment. This role will operate at a program level to ensure alignment across multiple workstreams, particularly supporting organizational affiliation efforts. The ideal candidate brings strong program management expertise, healthcare experience, and the ability to drive clarity, collaboration, and results across a highly matrixed organization.
This role is fully remote. Applicants are required to work PST hours.
Program Manager Responsibilities
- Lead program-level coordination across multiple workstreams, ensuring alignment, communication, and execution toward shared objectives.
- Oversee end-to-end program delivery, including planning, governance, risk management, and successful execution of large-scale initiatives.
- Manage interdependencies across concurrent projects, ensuring teams remain aligned on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across business, operational, and technical teams to support affiliation and integration-related initiatives.
- Drive informed decision-making by consolidating inputs, identifying risks, and escalating key issues to leadership as needed.
- Develop and maintain program roadmaps, timelines, and executive-level reporting to provide visibility into progress and outcomes.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, particularly those related to organizational change, integration, and resource constraints.
- Establish and track key performance indicators to monitor program health and drive continuous improvement.
- Support resolution of complex challenges, including shifting priorities, scope changes, and stakeholder alignment.
Program Manager Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive program or project management experience, including leadership of enterprise-level initiatives.
- Demonstrated experience within a healthcare environment, with a strong understanding of regulated operations.
- Experience supporting organizational integration efforts such as mergers, acquisitions, or affiliations is highly preferred.
- Exposure to one or more healthcare-related domains such as finance, pharmacy, provider operations, healthcare sales or marketing, quality, care management, claims, legal, or back-office functions.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in highly matrixed environments and influence without direct authority.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment.
- Experience managing large-scale programs with multiple workstreams, dependencies, and executive visibility.
- Proficiency with program management tools such as Smartsheet, SharePoint, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or similar certifications are preferred.
