Production Graphic Designer – Footwear
Our client is seeking a Production Graphic Designer – Footwear to support technical design execution for product graphics in a fast-paced, highly collaborative creative environment. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for detail, understands how to translate creative direction into production-ready artwork, and enjoys the technical side of graphic design, including schematics, dimensions, file setup, print considerations, and production accuracy.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Production Graphic Designer – Footwear Responsibilities
- Translate graphic design concepts into accurate, production-ready artwork files, technical schematics, and supporting documentation.
- Create detailed tech pack layouts that clearly communicate artwork placement, scale, dimensions, color, materials, and production specifications.
- Partner with graphic designers, production artists, and cross-functional teams to execute design intent while ensuring files are clean, accurate, and ready for production.
- Prepare and maintain layered digital artwork files, including labeling, measurements, separations, and technical callouts.
- Apply sound design judgment when adapting creative work for production, ensuring consistency, quality, and feasibility.
- Support print and product graphic workflows, including pre-press preparation, color separations, screen print considerations, trims, and related production details.
- Review artwork and schematic files for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
- Manage multiple design production tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a detail-driven environment.
Production Graphic Designer – Footwear Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in schematic design, production graphic design, technical graphic design, packaging, print design, book design, typography, product graphics, or a related field.
- Degree in Graphic Design or a similar discipline preferred.
- Strong Adobe Illustrator skills, with the ability to build clean, organized, production-ready files.
- Portfolio demonstrating technical design work, schematics, dimensions, print or product design process, typography, packaging, labeling, or production-focused graphic execution.
- Strong understanding of design thinking with a clear interest in the technical and production side of design rather than purely conceptual work.
- Knowledge of pre-press, print production, screen printing, trims, color separations, typography, and file preparation is highly preferred.
- Ability to interpret creative direction and convert it into precise artwork specifications for production partners.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through when managing layered files, measurements, and technical documentation.
- Interest in footwear, product graphics, apparel, or consumer product design preferred.
- Prior experience supporting a large consumer brand, footwear company, product design team, or fast-paced creative production environment is a plus.
