Apparel Product Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Apparel Product Manager to lead the development and execution of innovative women’s training products. This individual will play a highly visible role, partnering across design, merchandising, and marketing to bring performance-driven apparel to life. The ideal candidate is deeply connected to the athletic consumer, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and brings both strategic thinking and hands-on product leadership.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Apparel Product Manager Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end product creation process for women’s performance training apparel.
- Define product vision and strategy, aligning athlete performance needs with market opportunities.
- Partner closely with design, merchandising, and technical teams to deliver cohesive and compelling product stories.
- Lead cross-functional meetings, product reviews, and milestone checkpoints to ensure alignment and execution.
- Translate consumer, athlete, and market insights into actionable product decisions.
- Collaborate with marketing and external partners to validate concepts and support go-to-market strategies.
- Develop and present tools, visuals, and materials that influence internal stakeholders and global partners.
- Manage timelines, key deliverables, and product calendars to ensure on-time and high-quality execution.
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and cultural insights to inform product direction.
- Foster a collaborative team environment while holding stakeholders accountable for results.
Apparel Product Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in product management, preferably within apparel or performance products.
- Demonstrated experience managing apparel product lifecycles from concept through launch.
- Strong understanding of retail math, product positioning, and marketplace dynamics.
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel and presentation platforms (e.g., Keynote or similar).
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Experience working in ambiguous environments with the ability to create structure and direction.
- Deep understanding of consumer behavior and competitive landscape within women’s performance apparel.
- Experience with women’s apparel, including sports bras or technical performance products, is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to balance creativity, strategy, and execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative mindset with a proactive, flexible, and solutions-oriented approach.
Compensation: Up to $50/hr. (DOE)
