Senior Product Manager – Customers & Orders
Our client is seeking a forward-thinking Senior Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of customer experience, technology, and marketplace dynamics. This individual will take ownership of the end-to-end ordering journey, bringing a modern, innovative mindset to simplify complex workflows and elevate how customers interact with a two-sided platform. The ideal candidate combines strong product intuition with a collaborative, startup-oriented approach and a passion for leveraging emerging technologies like AI to create seamless, intelligent user experiences.
This role is fully remote with possible travel required 1-2 times per year.
Senior Product Manager Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the end-to-end customer ordering experience, including search, browse, cart, checkout, and post-order workflows.
- Define and execute a product strategy that supports both self-service users and enterprise customers, ensuring a cohesive experience across channels.
- Lead efforts to modernize and simplify ordering flows through AI-driven capabilities, automation, and alternative input methods such as voice and document ingestion.
- Drive product discovery, roadmap prioritization, and execution in close partnership with Engineering, UX, and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Analyze customer behavior and funnel performance to identify opportunities for increased conversion, adoption, and long-term engagement.
- Partner closely with UX leadership to design intuitive, scalable experiences that balance usability with advanced functionality.
- Collaborate with adjacent product teams to ensure alignment across the broader platform ecosystem and shared customer touchpoints.
- Develop solutions that reduce friction in onboarding and accelerate time-to-value for new and existing customers.
- Incorporate AI into both customer-facing features and internal product development processes, including documentation and requirements.
- Act as the primary product owner for the customer-facing marketplace domain, influencing broader product direction and strategy.
Senior Product Manager Qualifications
- Approximately 5–7 years of product management experience, with a strong preference for SaaS-based environments.
- Proven experience owning customer-facing product areas, particularly within ordering systems, marketplaces, or similar transactional platforms.
- Background in B2B products, with the ability to design for both self-service users and enterprise-level customers.
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI or machine learning to enhance customer experiences or product workflows.
- Strong understanding of product discovery, user research, and data-informed decision-making.
- Experience working in fast-paced, startup or high-growth environments with a hands-on, adaptable approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, with a strong emphasis on partnership with UX.
- Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or two-sided marketplace dynamics is highly preferred.
- Exposure to engagement strategies such as gamification, loyalty programs, or user incentives is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Salary: $140K-$180K/year. (DOE)
