Insurance Systems Analyst
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Systems Analyst to support the implementation of an enterprise insurance and claims management platform. This individual will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, system functionality, and a smooth transition to a new platform by partnering closely with internal stakeholders and technical teams. The ideal candidate thrives in structured environments, enjoys working hands-on with data, and can balance precision with cross-functional collaboration.

This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

Insurance Systems Analyst Responsibilities

  • Support data preparation, cleansing, and validation efforts for migration of insurance policies, claims, and exposure data into a new system.
  • Assist with system configuration and testing, including policy records, claims workflows, user roles, and reporting functionality.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), documenting defects, tracking issues, and supporting resolution efforts.
  • Reconcile migrated data against source systems and spreadsheets to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Act as a liaison between internal users and implementation partners to communicate feedback and coordinate issue resolution.
  • Develop system documentation, job aids, and basic training materials to support end users.
  • Assist with ongoing insurance administration, including claims tracking, reporting, and renewal data preparation.
  • Maintain organized records of policies, claims documentation, and related communications.

Insurance Systems Analyst Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in insurance, risk management, finance, accounting, or a related analytical field.
  • Working knowledge of commercial insurance concepts, including property, casualty, and claims processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage and validate large datasets and structured information.
  • Experience working with spreadsheets and data reconciliation, including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Ability to follow established processes while identifying discrepancies and opportunities for data improvement.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades, or data migrations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance systems or platforms (such as Riskonnect) and exposure to regulated industries is a plus.
