This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Utah, Idaho, North Dakota, or Arkansas.

UAT Lead Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive UAT strategies, test plans, execution schedules, and resource estimates across multiple projects and functional business areas.
  • Translate business requirements, process documentation, and system specifications into detailed test scenarios, test cases, and executable test scripts.
  • Coordinate functional, regression, and end-to-end testing activities to validate system functionality and operational readiness.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, Product Owners, development teams, and Quality Assurance teams to establish testing objectives, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
  • Oversee test data preparation, validation, and coordination to ensure accurate and comprehensive testing coverage.
  • Lead defect identification, documentation, prioritization, and triage activities while coordinating resolution with technical and business teams.
  • Evaluate testing risks and business impacts to prioritize test execution and ensure critical functionality receives appropriate coverage.
  • Monitor UAT progress, identify potential delays or quality concerns, and implement corrective actions to maintain project timelines.
  • Develop and present testing metrics, execution reports, defect trends, and overall UAT status updates to project stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Evaluate operational key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure system changes do not negatively impact critical business processes.
  • Analyze production defects and testing effectiveness to identify opportunities for improved quality and reduced defect leakage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate business workflows, identify process changes, and assess downstream operational impacts.
  • Coordinate testing activities across multiple Agile teams, business workstreams, and concurrent technology initiatives.
  • Lead and mentor UAT analysts and business testers, providing guidance on testing methodologies, tools, documentation, and best practices.
  • Support release readiness, final testing documentation, go-live activities, and post-implementation validation.
  • Identify and implement improvements to UAT processes, testing standards, tools, and quality assurance practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for healthcare insurance business processes and related system functionality.

UAT Lead Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in healthcare insurance, healthcare operations, or a related business environment.
  • At least 7 years of experience in business requirements analysis, process modeling, functional testing, and user acceptance testing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience leading UAT activities for multiple complex enterprise projects.
  • Healthcare insurance industry knowledge and hands-on experience with the Facets platform are required.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare payer operations, including claims processing, membership, enrollment, customer service, or related business functions.
  • Extensive experience developing UAT strategies, test plans, test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end business testing efforts.
  • Strong experience managing defect lifecycles, including identification, documentation, prioritization, triage, retesting, and resolution.
  • Advanced SQL query writing and execution skills to support test data validation, troubleshooting, and UAT activities.
  • Experience preparing and validating test data across complex enterprise applications and integrated systems.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and industry-standard testing practices.
  • Proven ability to coordinate UAT execution across multiple Agile teams, business functions, and concurrent projects.
  • Experience applying risk-based testing strategies to prioritize critical business processes and system functionality.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare operational metrics and the ability to evaluate potential impacts to business KPIs.
  • Experience analyzing production defects, testing metrics, and quality trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, including resource planning, scheduling, risk management, issue escalation, and stakeholder communication.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate complex workflows and identify potential system or operational impacts.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience presenting testing results, project risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor UAT analysts and business testing teams.
