Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to support key accounting operations during a period of organizational transition. This individual will bring strong problem-solving abilities, sound judgment, and a proactive mindset while partnering across finance and business teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains accuracy under tight deadlines, and communicates effectively with both financial and operational stakeholders.

This is a hybrid position based in the greater Portland–Vancouver metropolitan area.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to support the close process and ongoing accounting activities.
• Analyze financial results, including income statement and balance sheet fluctuations, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Support recurring close cycles with a focus on timeliness, consistency, and continuous process improvement.
• Research and resolve accounting inquiries from cross-functional partners, including finance and operational teams.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to validate financial data and support informed business decision-making.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• CPA certification and/or 3+ years of public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
• Experience supporting close processes in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to independently research, analyze, and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams.

Compensation: $45-$55/hr. (DOE)
