Project Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives that support strategic business objectives within a dynamic healthcare environment. This individual will oversee multiple high-impact projects simultaneously, guiding teams through the full project lifecycle while balancing timelines, budgets, stakeholder expectations, and evolving priorities. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with exceptional communication skills, strong business acumen, and a proven ability to drive projects to successful completion in fast-paced settings.

This role is fully remote with possible occasional travel. Applicants must work PST hours.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead large-scale initiatives and multiple concurrent projects from planning through implementation and close-out while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, resource strategies, and status reporting to support successful execution.
  • Partner closely with business leaders, sponsors, and cross-functional teams to define objectives, clarify requirements, and implement effective solutions.
  • Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies, proactively addressing issues and recommending corrective actions when needed.
  • Facilitate communication among stakeholders at all organizational levels through presentations, progress updates, and executive reporting.
  • Assemble and guide multidisciplinary project teams, providing leadership, direction, and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while developing contingency plans to minimize disruptions to deliverables and key milestones.
  • Track and analyze project metrics to measure performance, identify trends, and ensure initiatives remain on target.
  • Promote adherence to established project management standards, methodologies, and governance practices.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of less experienced project managers by sharing best practices and providing guidance.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging project management approaches and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely resolution of project-related challenges while maintaining a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Project Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive project and/or program management experience, including leadership responsibility for large, complex initiatives and multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated success managing projects exceeding $1 million in scope and leading teams of approximately 10 or more contributors.
  • Required hands-on experience utilizing Smartsheet to support planning, tracking, reporting, and project execution activities.
  • Preferred project management experience supporting healthcare functions such as clinical operations, utilization management, care management, clinical quality, or related areas.
  • Strong knowledge of formal project management principles and familiarity with PMI standards and PMBOK methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams and motivate stakeholders toward achieving shared objectives.
  • Experience developing project budgets, managing financial performance, and addressing schedule or scope variances.
  • Demonstrated expertise in risk identification, mitigation planning, issue resolution, resource management, and change management.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to mediate competing priorities and implement practical solutions.
  • Experience collaborating with business sponsors and partners to identify needs and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Project Management certification is strongly preferred, with PMP certification considered a significant advantage.
  • Ability to work Pacific Time Zone business hours, with flexibility to support occasional overtime, weekend work, and periodic travel as business needs require.
