PeopleSoft Business Analyst
Our client is seeking a PeopleSoft Business Analyst to support and enhance a complex enterprise ERP environment spanning both Human Capital Management (HCM) and Financials (FSCM). This role combines hands-on development work with business analysis responsibilities, partnering closely with functional teams to identify operational improvements, refine requirements, and deliver scalable technical solutions. The ideal candidate is collaborative, proactive, and capable of independently driving initiatives while contributing as a strong cross-functional team member.

This role is on-site in Portland, Oregon.

PeopleSoft Business Analyst Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end support, analysis, and development for PeopleSoft HCM and FSCM modules, ensuring system stability, functionality, and performance.
• Partner with Finance, HR, and functional leads to gather, refine, and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions and system enhancements.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain PeopleSoft customizations, integrations, workflows, and reporting solutions using PeopleTools technologies.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement sustainable fixes and process improvements.
• Support ongoing operational improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance day-to-day user experience.
• Manage development efforts across the full application lifecycle, including technical design, coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams while also working independently to proactively move projects and enhancements forward.
• Assist with PeopleSoft upgrades, PUM images, tax updates, and system maintenance activities.

PeopleSoft Business Analyst Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting and developing within PeopleSoft environments, preferably across both HCM and FSCM.
• Strong technical experience with PeopleCode, Application Engine, SQR, SQL, and related PeopleTools technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions in partnership with functional stakeholders.
• Experience balancing business analysis responsibilities with hands-on development and troubleshooting work.
• Proven ability to independently manage priorities, problem-solve proactively, and contribute effectively within a collaborative team environment.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and root cause analysis skills within enterprise ERP environments.
• Experience supporting PeopleSoft upgrades, patches, PUM images, and ongoing system enhancements.
• Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools such as BI Publisher, PS Query, and nVision.
• Experience with workflow automation, integrations, or cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments is a plus.

Compensation: Up to $60/hr. (DOE)
