Patient Access Coordinator
Our client is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator who excels in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is committed to delivering outstanding service to patients, families, and clinical staff. This individual is highly organized, communicates effectively, and can confidently manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, professionalism, and compassion.

This role is on-site in Boston, Massachusetts.

Patient Access Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and clinical teams, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Accurately collect, verify, and enter patient information while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, nursing staff, and other departments to coordinate access-related activities.
  • Utilize medical terminology and healthcare documentation to support registration and administrative processes.
  • Prioritize multiple responsibilities, manage competing demands, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Operate standard office equipment and perform general administrative duties, including phone support, filing, and document management.
  • Maintain organized records and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while adhering to established procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional healthcare teams to support efficient patient access and positive patient experiences.

Patient Access Coordinator Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least two years of experience in patient registration, admitting, a medical office, managed care, insurance, customer service, or a related healthcare setting.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and common healthcare abbreviations.
  • Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and standard office equipment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and remain composed when working under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Multilingual language skills are a plus.

Compensation: $20/hr.
