Communications Coordinator
Our client is seeking a Communications Coordinator to support communications initiatives focused on innovation, design, research, and product development. This role is ideal for a strong storyteller who can translate complex technical and creative concepts into clear, engaging narratives while collaborating across a highly matrixed, fast-paced organization.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Communications Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communications strategies that highlight innovation, research, technology, design, and product development initiatives.
  • Translate technical research, scientific insights, engineering concepts, and product information into clear and compelling stories for internal and external audiences.
  • Partner with designers, scientists, engineers, product teams, communications professionals, and other subject matter experts to identify and develop meaningful storytelling opportunities.
  • Create and maintain messaging frameworks, presentations, content plans, briefing materials, and other communications resources supporting key initiatives and product milestones.
  • Coordinate communications across brand, corporate, regional, marketing, legal, and business partners to ensure messaging is consistent and aligned.
  • Support communications surrounding product launches, innovation milestones, events, presentations, and other high-visibility moments.
  • Research relevant developments in sports, innovation, science, technology, design, and culture to identify emerging communications opportunities.
  • Manage project timelines, stakeholder communications, reviews, approvals, and deliverables across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Provide structure and organization to complex projects while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.

Communications Coordinator Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in communications, public relations, product communications, innovation storytelling, science communications, or a related area.
  • Strong writing, editing, research, and presentation skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and communication channels.
  • Demonstrated understanding of innovation, design, and product development processes.
  • Ability to translate complex, technical, scientific, or research-driven information into accessible and engaging content.
  • Experience collaborating with technical experts, creative professionals, cross-functional partners, and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Interest in sports, human performance, emerging technologies, research, materials, or product innovation.
  • Ability to remain composed, adaptable, and solutions-oriented in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and presentation tools such as Keynote.
  • Experience supporting a global organization, agency, consumer brand, or similarly complex environment is preferred.
  • Previous experience within the athletic, consumer products, innovation, or related industries is preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.

Compensation: Up to $44.37/hr. (DOE)
