CNC 5-Axis Machinist
Our client is seeking a CNC 5-Axis Machinist to join their precision manufacturing team. This individual will play a key role in setting up and operating advanced 5-axis milling equipment while ensuring high-quality production, maintaining tight tolerances, and supporting on-time delivery of customer orders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to producing accurate work in a fast-paced machining environment.
This role is on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon working Monday through Thursday from 6AM-4:30PM.
CNC 5-Axis Machinist Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC 5-axis milling machines, including equipment with multiple pallet systems, to support efficient production.
- Verify the accuracy of machined components by inspecting finished parts against engineering drawings and specifications.
- Maintain consistent quality standards by ensuring machine setups and production runs meet required tolerances.
- Prioritize and sequence work to help ensure customer delivery schedules are achieved.
- Perform routine measurements and inspections using precision measuring instruments to confirm part quality.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to support production goals, troubleshoot issues, and maintain workflow efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while following established manufacturing procedures.
CNC 5-Axis Machinist Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience setting up CNC 5-axis milling machines.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to accurately inspect machined parts using personal precision measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to regularly lift and move 20 pounds or more.
- Experience working with horizontal machining cells is preferred.
- Familiarity with Siemens Celos controllers is preferred.
- Previous experience serving in a lead or mentoring capacity is a plus.
Salary: $32-$38/hr + Bonus. (DOE)
