Benefits and Leave Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and adaptable Benefits and Leave Specialist to provide critical support during a temporary coverage period. This individual will bring strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to navigate sensitive employee matters while ensuring smooth day-to-day benefits and leave operations. The ideal candidate is collaborative, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

This role is on-site in Vancouver, Washington.

Benefits and Leave Specialist Responsibilities

  • Administer day-to-day benefits programs, including enrollments, eligibility updates, and employee inquiries.
  • Coordinate and manage leave of absence cases, ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to resolve issues and maintain accurate benefits and leave data.
  • Monitor and track leave statuses, benefit deductions, and return-to-work processes within HR systems.
  • Support open enrollment activities, reporting, and general benefits administration tasks as needed.

Benefits and Leave Specialist Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of experience in benefits administration, leave management, or a related HR function.
  • Working knowledge of benefit programs and leave regulations such as FMLA and state leave laws.
  • Experience working with HRIS or benefits administration systems preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion while communicating effectively with employees and stakeholders.

Compensation: $28-$32/hr. (DOE)
