Senior Apparel Color Designer
Our client is seeking a Senior Apparel Color Designer to help shape seasonal color direction for performance-driven apparel collections. This individual will bring a strong blend of creative vision, technical execution, and storytelling ability, partnering cross-functionally to deliver compelling, consumer-informed design solutions. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, balances multiple priorities with ease, and brings a passion for sport and trend-forward design.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Senior Apparel Color Designer Responsibilities
- Lead the development of seasonal color direction and palettes across apparel collections, ensuring alignment with brand and consumer insights.
- Translate market trends and consumer data into compelling color stories and design narratives.
- Collaborate closely with design, product management, and development teams to bring concepts to life from ideation through execution.
- Create and refine design assets including color applications, CADs, and presentation materials using industry-standard tools.
- Present design concepts and seasonal direction to internal stakeholders, clearly articulating vision and intent.
- Support product creation by partnering on schematics, prototypes, and execution details to ensure design integrity.
- Manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously while maintaining high-quality creative output.
Senior Apparel Color Designer Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in apparel color design or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with experience using tools such as Miro, CLO 3D, and Vizcom.
- Strong understanding of textiles, apparel construction, and color theory.
- Demonstrated ability to translate consumer insights into visual storytelling and design concepts.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
- Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, textiles, or a related field preferred.
Compensation: Up to $46.67/hr. (DOE)
