Accounting Project Consultant (Financial Edge)
Our non-profit client is seeking an experienced Accounting Consultant to support a high-impact project focused on optimizing accounting systems, improving team workflows, and strengthening reporting processes. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting systems expert who combines analytical problem-solving with a collaborative teaching style. This person will thrive in project-based environments where they can quickly assess gaps, implement improvements, and empower internal teams for long-term success.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon with a flexible work schedule.
Accounting Project Consultant Responsibilities
- Assess current accounting workflows and identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities within Financial Edge.
- Design and document optimized processes, workflows, and system usage frameworks to improve accounting operations and team effectiveness.
- Build, reconcile, and enhance custom reports within Financial Edge, including development of recurring reporting structures and monthly report packages.
- Support budgeting workflow improvements, including evaluating current processes and helping transition budget management into Financial Edge.
Accounting Project Consultant Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise using Financial Edge within an accounting environment, including report development and system optimization.
- Experience conducting system assessments, process mapping, and implementing operational improvements within accounting or finance functions.
- Experience working in consulting, fractional, interim, or project-based environments with the ability to operate independently.
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Non-Profit Management preferred.
