OnBase Software Quality Engineer
Our client is seeking an OnBase Software Quality Engineer to support quality assurance efforts for complex enterprise applications, integrations, and document management solutions. This role will focus on developing and executing comprehensive test plans, identifying and managing defects, and partnering with technical and business teams to ensure solutions meet functional, integration, and quality requirements.

This role is fully remote.

OnBase Software Quality Engineer Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual test plans for enterprise applications, integrations, and document management solutions to validate functionality against business and technical requirements.
• Create and perform functional and non-functional testing in alignment with established quality assurance strategies and project objectives.
• Identify, document, track, and manage defects through resolution, including evaluating severity, regression impact, and potential root causes.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, test data, and testing scenarios for complex application environments.
• Monitor testing progress and analyze results across system components and feature sets to assess overall solution quality and readiness.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum activities, including sprint planning, requirements reviews, test case reviews, and other project ceremonies.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by coordinating testing activities, documenting results, and assisting with issue resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and address quality concerns throughout the development lifecycle.
• Perform manual and automated test case management and execution as appropriate to project needs.

OnBase Software Quality Engineer Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience testing complex enterprise software applications, integrations, and interconnected systems.
• Strong experience creating, managing, and executing complex test plans, test cases, and testing scenarios.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans or similar test management and defect-tracking tools.
• Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, including functional, non-functional, regression, integration, and User Acceptance Testing.
• Ability to evaluate testing results and identify trends or issues affecting the health and quality of individual components, features, and overall systems.
• Experience with defect identification, documentation, root cause analysis, prioritization, and lifecycle management.
• Experience supporting both manual and automated testing processes.
• Experience with OnBase or comparable enterprise content and document management platforms is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with document generation, document management, document processing/conditioning, and workflow solutions is preferred.
• Experience with xPressions, K2, Microsoft Azure, or similar technologies is a plus.
• Ability to quickly learn new enterprise applications, business processes, and integrated system environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
