Business Analyst
Our client is seeking a Business Analyst to support reporting, data management, and performance analytics for a global retail partner organization. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical capabilities with excellent attention to detail, bringing the ability to manage complex data, build meaningful reporting, and translate findings into actionable business insights.

This role is a hybrid model in Boston, Massachusetts.

Business Analyst Responsibilities

  • Manage, analyze, and validate recurring business data to ensure information is complete, accurate, and reliable for reporting and decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, recurring reports, and analytical tools that provide visibility into business and retail performance.
  • Analyze large and varied datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, risks, opportunities, and data quality concerns.
  • Prepare, clean, reconcile, and validate data from multiple sources to support accurate downstream reporting and analytics.
  • Support connections between data sources, business intelligence platforms, and other reporting tools to improve data accessibility and usability.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to understand analytical needs and translate them into reporting and data solutions.
  • Prepare performance analysis and supporting materials for recurring business reviews and leadership discussions.
  • Support financial planning activities by providing store-level data, revenue analysis, forecasting inputs, and other analytical support.
  • Assist with onboarding new business partners into established analytics platforms, reporting processes, and data workflows.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis to answer business questions and provide clear, actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify reporting gaps, data discrepancies, and process risks, escalating issues and helping drive practical improvements.

Business Analyst Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytical role; additional experience is preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated experience manipulating, analyzing, reconciling, and validating business data.
  • Experience with BI, dashboarding, or data visualization tools; Sigma experience is preferred, and Tableau or comparable platforms are also relevant.
  • Experience working with data from multiple sources and supporting integrations or connections between data and reporting tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of data preparation, cleansing, validation, and quality assurance practices.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into clear trends, insights, and recommendations for business stakeholders.
  • Experience with retail, wholesale, e-commerce, consumer products, or other data-intensive commercial environments is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain findings and raise potential risks clearly.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize recurring and ad hoc deliverables, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience; demonstrated professional experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Compensation: Up to $47.33/hr. (DOE)
