Senior Human Resources Business Partner
Our client is seeking a strategic Senior Human Resources Business Partner to serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership while driving people initiatives across multiple West Coast operations. This highly visible role combines strategic business partnership with hands-on leadership, helping shape workforce planning, strengthen organizational effectiveness, and foster a positive employee experience in a dynamic, operationally focused environment. The ideal candidate brings exceptional employee relations expertise, executive presence, and the ability to influence leaders through complex business and workforce challenges.
This role is on-site in Dayton, Oregon with travel between client locations as needed.
Senior Human Resources Business Partner Responsibilities
- Partner with executive leadership and operational managers to develop and execute HR strategies that align with business objectives, workforce planning, and organizational growth.
- Serve as the primary strategic HR advisor for multiple locations, providing guidance on organizational design, talent management, succession planning, and change management initiatives.
- Lead complex employee relations matters, workplace investigations, conflict resolution, and corrective action while ensuring consistent, compliant, and proactive outcomes.
- Coach and influence managers and directors on leadership effectiveness, performance management, employee engagement, policy interpretation, and workforce planning.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to regional HR team members, fostering accountability, collaboration, and consistent HR service delivery.
- Partner with Safety, Operations, Payroll, and other cross-functional leaders to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while supporting a safe and productive work environment.
- Analyze workforce trends, HR metrics, and employee relations data to identify opportunities, recommend solutions, and support informed business decisions.
- Lead and support organizational change initiatives, process improvements, manager training, and HR programs that enhance operational efficiency and employee experience.
Senior Human Resources Business Partner Qualifications
- Five or more years of progressive Human Resources Business Partner or HR leadership experience supporting managers, directors, and executive leadership in a strategic capacity.
- Extensive experience leading employee relations initiatives, conducting complex workplace investigations, managing workforce planning, and driving performance management programs.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, communicate effectively with executives, and build trusted partnerships across all levels of an organization.
- Proven experience supporting multi-site operations or geographically dispersed workforces within an operational, manufacturing, production, agricultural, or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws, HR compliance, and HR best practices.
- Experience leading, coaching, or mentoring HR professionals while promoting accountability and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and the ability to analyze workforce data to develop business-focused recommendations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, manage sensitive situations with professionalism, and travel between regional locations as needed.
Preferred:
- Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
- Experience supporting horticulture, agriculture, nursery, manufacturing, production, food processing, winery, or other labor-intensive operational environments.
- Experience supporting high-volume seasonal or hourly workforces across multiple locations.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and progressive HR experience. Advanced degrees are welcomed but not required.
Salary: $90K–$115K/year. (DOE)
