IT Audit Analyst
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Audit Analyst to support critical SOX compliance initiatives through comprehensive Key Report and IT General Control (ITGC) testing. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented audit professional with deep expertise in SOX testing methodologies, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work independently while partnering effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must work PST hours.

IT Audit Analyst Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report the results of SOX Key Report and IT General Control (ITGC) testing activities.
• Perform SOX Key Report baseline and benchmark testing in accordance with established methodologies and external audit expectations.
• Develop testing procedures for new SOX Key Reports to ensure appropriate coverage of financial reporting risks and compliance requirements.
• Execute ITGC testing, including sampling and control evaluation, while aligning with external audit standards.
• Prepare thorough, high-quality audit documentation that supports efficient review processes and external auditor reliance.
• Communicate testing progress, results, and project status to Internal Audit and business control leadership.
• Validate identified Key Report and ITGC exceptions by collaborating with control owners, compliance teams, and audit management to ensure accurate resolution.

IT Audit Analyst Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification.
• Minimum of five years of experience performing SOX compliance testing.
• Extensive experience conducting SOX Key Report baseline and benchmark testing, as well as IT General Control testing.
• Advanced knowledge of SOX compliance requirements, internal audit practices, and IT audit standards.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet established deadlines.
• Strong written documentation skills with experience producing audit workpapers that meet quality assurance standards.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.
• Proven organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
