Staff Accountant
Our client is a mission-driven organization with a strong service mentality and active culture of community volunteerism. They are seeking a collaborative Staff Accountant who thrives in a team-oriented environment where accuracy, organization, and analytical thinking are essential. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with strong communication skills who can manage multiple priorities while contributing to timely and reliable financial reporting. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to support key accounting processes and organizational success.
This role is fully on-site in Redmond, Oregon.
Due to the nature of this role and immediate business needs, we are only considering candidates currently residing in Redmond, Oregon and surrounding area. Applicants outside of this area will not be considered.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and supporting documentation including presenting financial results to leadership.
- Complete month-end journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger close activities.
- Analyze financial information and provide reporting support to leadership.
- Assist with recurring quarterly and annual accounting projects.
- Collaborate across departments to support accurate and efficient financial operations.
Staff Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; related field considered.
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience including preparing financial statement, project-based accounting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; NetSuite or similar ERP experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – this role includes the non-traditional responsibility of presenting financial statements directly to leadership.
- A team player who is communicative, confident, and engaged; volunteerism on your resume is a plus.
Salary: $65K-$70K/year + competitive bonus. (DOE)
