HR Coordinator
Our client is seeking a dependable and approachable HR professional who thrives in a hands-on, people-focused environment. The ideal candidate is organized, resourceful, and comfortable balancing recurring administrative responsibilities with employee support in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This individual brings a customer-service mindset, works well independently, and excels at connecting employees with the resources they need while maintaining accuracy and consistency.
This role is fully on-site in Portland, Oregon (near PDX Airport).
HR Coordinator Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day HR administrative support for a manufacturing workforce, serving as a trusted first point of contact for employee inquiries.
- Manage attendance administration, including absence reporting, timesheet processing, and maintaining daily headcount communications.
- Coordinate key employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, offboarding, recognition programs, and internal job postings.
- Support employee engagement initiatives through communications, milestone celebrations, and distribution of company programs and resources.
- Maintain accurate records and assist with compliance-related processes, including audits, screenings, and standardized HR procedures.
HR Coordinator Qualifications
- Previous experience as an HR Coordinator, HR Generalist, or in a similar HR support role.
- Experience supporting hourly employees, including attendance tracking, timesheet administration, and employee relations inquiries.
- Ability to work independently within an on-site manufacturing, distribution, or retail environment with minimal direct supervision.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to prioritize recurring administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office tools; experience with ADP Workforce Now or similar systems is preferred.
Salary: $25–$27/hr. (DOE)
