Retail Design Project Manager
Our client is seeking a Retail Design Project Manager to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of retail environment projects from initial concept through store opening. This individual will serve as a key partner across creative, marketing, design, and operational teams, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with brand objectives. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in retail design, creative operations, and project leadership, with the ability to drive complex workstreams across multiple stakeholders and global markets.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Retail Design Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end retail design projects, managing timelines, deliverables, budgets, and key milestones from concept development through final execution and store launch.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including design, marketing, creative operations, production, and external partners to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Drive project workstreams, proactively identifying risks, resolving obstacles, and maintaining alignment across stakeholders.
- Partner with creative and design teams to translate brand vision into engaging physical retail experiences.
- Oversee project schedules and resource planning to ensure successful execution across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Facilitate communication between regional and global teams to support consistent implementation of retail concepts and design standards.
- Manage project documentation, status reporting, and stakeholder updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support retail store redesigns, remodels, and new store initiatives while maintaining quality, operational, and brand expectations.
- Collaborate with vendors, agencies, and production partners to ensure project requirements are executed effectively.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance project efficiency, scalability, and operational excellence.
Retail Design Project Manager Qualifications
- 5+ years of project management experience within retail design, creative operations, store development, or a related field.
- Proven experience managing retail design projects from concept through construction, installation, and store opening.
- Background working on the design, production, or build side of retail environments.
- Experience serving as a creative producer, project manager, or operations lead supporting retail design initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale retail rollouts, store redesigns, or brand experience initiatives preferred.
- Ability to navigate fast-paced environments and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
- Experience collaborating with global teams and international stakeholders preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Previous experience supporting global consumer brands or retail organizations is highly desirable.
Compensation: Up to $55.63/hr. (DOE)
