SharePoint Developer
Our client is seeking a highly skilled SharePoint Developer to support large-scale enterprise content migration and workflow modernization initiatives within a complex Microsoft 365 environment. This individual will play a key role in migrating legacy SharePoint environments, developing modern workflow solutions, and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of enterprise collaboration and document management projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive technical professional with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and experience working in structured, enterprise-level environments.
This role is fully remote.
SharePoint Developer Responsibilities
- Lead migration activities from legacy SharePoint environments to SharePoint Online and enterprise document management platforms while preserving metadata, permissions, and document structures.
- Analyze existing SharePoint content, workflows, and site architecture to develop scalable migration and modernization strategies.
- Redesign and rebuild legacy SharePoint workflows into modern Microsoft Power Automate solutions, ensuring functional alignment and process optimization.
- Partner with business stakeholders to facilitate content reviews, workflow requirements gathering, user acceptance testing, and migration validation activities.
- Develop and execute testing, validation, and quality assurance plans to verify successful migrations, workflow functionality, and data integrity.
- Coordinate with Microsoft 365 administrators and project teams to support governance standards, retention policies, site provisioning, and security requirements.
- Create technical documentation, workflow diagrams, migration reports, and knowledge transfer materials to support ongoing maintenance and operational continuity.
- Monitor project progress, track issues and risks, and provide regular status updates throughout migration and development phases.
- Support development of new Power Automate workflows and automation solutions to streamline business processes within SharePoint Online.
- Troubleshoot migration issues, workflow failures, and integration challenges while implementing appropriate remediation and error handling strategies.
SharePoint Developer Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Power Automate development.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting enterprise-level SharePoint migration projects within large or highly regulated organizations.
- Proven experience migrating SharePoint 2013, 2016, or 2019 on-premises environments to modern Microsoft 365 platforms.
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint architecture, including site collections, document libraries, metadata management, permissions, and content types.
- Hands-on experience with SharePoint migration tools and migration validation methodologies.
- Demonstrated expertise designing and supporting Power Automate cloud flows, approval workflows, scheduled processes, and SharePoint integrations.
- Experience analyzing and converting legacy SharePoint Designer workflows into modern automation solutions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 governance practices, including retention policies, sensitivity labels, and enterprise collaboration standards.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and technical communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience working within structured project methodologies, including phased migrations, testing cycles, and production deployment support.
- Preferred experience with enterprise content management systems, advanced Power Automate functionality, workflow integrations, and complex migration environments.
