Senior Patient Services Specialist
Our client is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Senior Patient Services Specialist to support patient coordination within a complex healthcare environment. This individual will play a critical role in managing insurance verification, coordinating authorizations, and facilitating smooth patient transitions between care settings. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable navigating fast-paced clinical and administrative workflows while delivering exceptional service to patients, families, and care teams.

This role is on-site in San Pedro, California.

Senior Patient Services Specialist Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and transitions between inpatient and post-acute care settings.
• Verify insurance coverage, benefits, and eligibility while ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up.
• Obtain prior authorizations and approvals for services, admissions, and continued care needs.
• Communicate with healthcare providers, case managers, facilities, and insurance representatives to support continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and support administrative processes in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Senior Patient Services Specialist Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in patient services, healthcare administration, admissions coordination, or a related healthcare support role.
• Strong experience with insurance verification, benefits coordination, and authorization processes.
• Knowledge of patient discharge planning and transitions into rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care environments.
• Familiarity with inpatient healthcare workflows; experience within skilled nursing or sub-acute settings is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Compensation: $20-$25/hr. (DOE)
