Marketing Project Manager
Our client is seeking a Marketing Project Manager to drive execution, alignment, and operational excellence across a growing marketing organization. This role serves as the central hub for coordinating initiatives, managing timelines, and ensuring cross-functional teams remain focused on key priorities. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at building structure amidst ambiguity, and has a proven ability to keep complex projects moving forward from concept through completion.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
Marketing Project Manager Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project management for marketing campaigns, product launches, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional programs.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, workflows, and communication processes that support efficient execution across the organization.
- Partner with marketing leadership and key stakeholders to establish priorities, align resources, and ensure successful project delivery.
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between marketing, creative, ecommerce, customer experience, product, operations, and leadership teams.
- Build actionable project roadmaps by identifying milestones, dependencies, risks, and critical deadlines.
- Track deliverables, ownership, timelines, and project status across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Facilitate meetings, status updates, and project reviews to drive accountability and maintain alignment across teams.
- Proactively identify roadblocks, competing priorities, and process inefficiencies, implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Create visibility into project progress through reporting, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
- Continuously evaluate and improve project management practices, workflows, and team collaboration processes.
- Support a dynamic and evolving business environment by adapting priorities and taking ownership of new initiatives as needed.
Marketing Project Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, program management, marketing operations, or a related role.
- Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced business environments.
- Experience supporting consumer brands, ecommerce organizations, retail companies, fashion, beauty, wellness, or high-growth businesses preferred.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align teams at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to drive accountability, facilitate decision-making, and maintain project momentum.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and creating structure where processes are still evolving.
- Highly collaborative with the ability to build strong working relationships across diverse teams and functions.
- Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Monday.com, Jira, or similar tools.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, presentation software, reporting tools, and collaboration platforms.
- Strong attention to detail combined with the ability to balance strategic priorities and day-to-day execution.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently while supporting team success.
