Retail Experience Designer
Our client is seeking a Retail Experience Designer to create immersive, brand-driven retail environments that bring storytelling, product, and consumer engagement together in compelling ways. This role is ideal for a highly collaborative designer with strong graphic, spatial, and environmental design experience who can move quickly, think strategically, and translate creative direction into polished retail concepts. Experience supporting large-scale consumer, lifestyle, footwear, apparel, or retail brand environments is highly preferred.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon. Fully remote applicants who meet all qualifications may be considered.
Retail Experience Designer Responsibilities
- Develop retail design concepts that support brand storytelling across physical environments, displays, graphics, materials, and digital touchpoints.
- Create immersive consumer experiences through environmental design, spatial planning, graphic design, styling, photography, and 3D visualization.
- Partner closely with creative leadership, store design teams, functional partners, producers, and external agencies to deliver cohesive and feasible design solutions.
- Prepare presentation materials, renderings, and visual storytelling assets that clearly communicate design concepts to internal partners and leadership.
- Manage multiple fast-paced projects while maintaining design quality, creative consistency, timelines, budgets, and alignment with broader retail and brand objectives.
Retail Experience Designer Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in retail design, environmental design, spatial design, experiential design, brand design, or a similar creative role.
- Prior experience supporting major consumer, athletic, lifestyle, footwear, apparel, or global retail brands is highly preferred.
- Strong portfolio showcasing retail experience design, graphic design, spatial storytelling, environmental concepts, and 3D rendering work.
- Advanced design skills across concepting, visual presentation, typography, color, materiality, scale, space planning, and consumer experience design.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Rhino, V-Ray, Figma, Keynote, or similar platforms; degree in graphic design, architecture, industrial design, environmental design, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Compensation: Up to $59.86/hr. (DOE)
