Regional Land Development Manager
Our residential homebuilder client is seeking a Regional Land Development Manager to lead residential land development efforts across a growing regional footprint. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who thrives in the field, can confidently navigate complex development projects, and builds strong relationships across internal teams, communities, municipalities, and construction partners. The ideal candidate brings strong project management instincts, sound business judgment, and direct experience in residential community development.
This is an in-office role based in Kennewick, WA, with regular travel throughout the South Washington region. Applicants must reside within the Tri-Cities or surrounding South Central Washington market.
Regional Land Development Manager Responsibilities
- Lead residential land development projects from initial feasibility review through entitlements, final platting, and completion of horizontal infrastructure construction.
- Manage civil contractors, consultants, budgets, schedules, and project timelines to ensure successful delivery of subdivision development projects.
- Partner with internal land acquisition and development teams to evaluate potential opportunities, assess project viability, and identify development risks.
- Serve as the primary liaison with municipalities, public agencies, inspectors, and external stakeholders to support approvals, permitting, and issue resolution.
- Review engineering plans, development documents, and project deliverables to ensure alignment with project objectives, quality standards, and cost expectations.
Regional Land Development Manager Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in residential land development, civil construction management, civil engineering, land planning, or closely related project environments.
- Direct experience managing residential subdivision development projects, including entitlements, infrastructure development, and municipal coordination.
- Strong knowledge of land development processes, civil construction methods, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory approval workflows.
- Ability to interpret civil engineering plans and construction documentation; proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, Excel, PDF markup software, and related project management platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field preferred; equivalent practical experience considered. Professional engineering licensure is a plus.
Salary: $100K-$120K + Bonus. (DOE)
