Product Line Manager
Our client is seeking a strategic and consumer-minded Product Line Manager to help drive the creation and execution of high-performance apparel within a fast-paced, highly collaborative product organization. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong product management discipline with a deep understanding of the apparel marketplace, consumer behavior, and retail performance. The ideal candidate brings a passion for innovative product creation, thrives in cross-functional environments, and can confidently guide initiatives from concept through execution with minimal oversight.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Product Line Manager Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end management of a designated apparel product portfolio, driving product direction from concept through launch while balancing business objectives, consumer insights, and market opportunities.
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams including merchandising, design, and technical development to align product vision, timelines, and execution across the product creation lifecycle.
- Facilitate product reviews, strategic checkpoints, and cross-functional meetings, ensuring stakeholders remain aligned on priorities, deliverables, and key deadlines.
- Analyze competitive trends, consumer behaviors, and retail performance metrics to inform product decisions, identify whitespace opportunities, and support business growth.
- Develop presentations, visual tools, and product storytelling materials that effectively communicate strategy and influence internal partners and downstream teams.
- Gather and synthesize market, consumer, and industry insights to help shape product innovation and enhance the relevance of the product line.
- Drive accountability across project timelines, proactively navigating ambiguity, resolving roadblocks, and maintaining momentum in a dynamic environment.
Product Line Manager Qualifications
- 5+ years of product management experience, with direct experience in apparel product creation or product line management required.
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in Business, Merchandising, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
- Strong understanding of retail math, product performance metrics, and business planning concepts.
- Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with merchandising, design, technical development, and related product teams.
- Proficiency with Excel, Keynote, and other business presentation or planning tools.
- Strong knowledge of consumer trends, competitive market dynamics, and product storytelling within the apparel or consumer goods space.
- Experience supporting women’s apparel categories strongly preferred; experience with performance/intimate apparel product categories is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple timelines, influence stakeholders, and maintain organization in a fast-moving environment with limited oversight.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive alignment across teams.
- Experience with innovation-focused product initiatives or high-performance consumer products is a plus.
Compensation: Up to $56/hr. (DOE)
