Level 1 Technician
Our client is seeking a dependable and hands-on Level 1 Technician to support structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure projects in fast-paced commercial environments. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality workmanship, works well independently, and can reliably execute overnight project work with minimal supervision. Candidates should be comfortable in physically active environments and capable of supporting a variety of installation, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support tasks.

This role will work an overnight schedule on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Level 1 Technician Responsibilities

• Perform Cat5e/Cat6 cable pulls, terminations, testing, and labeling for low-voltage infrastructure projects.
• Support wireless access point, RFID, and IoT device installations in commercial or enterprise environments.
• Assist with IT rack cleanup, cable management, and overall infrastructure organization.
• Troubleshoot connectivity and cabling issues while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Complete project documentation, photo closeout packages, and related reporting requirements.
• Work overnight project schedules and adapt to changing project demands, including overtime as needed.
• Maintain a professional and reliable presence on job sites while collaborating effectively with project teams.

Level 1 Technician Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in low-voltage cabling, structured cabling, or telecommunications infrastructure work.
• Hands-on experience with Cat5e/Cat6 installations, terminations, and testing.
• Familiarity with access point installations, rack and stack work, and cable management best practices.
• Ability to read basic project documentation, follow installation standards, and work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments.
• Comfortable working overnight schedules and extended hours when project timelines require it.
• Dependable work ethic with the ability to arrive on time, complete assigned work efficiently, and maintain professionalism on-site.
