Senior Accountant
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant who thrives in a complex, highly regulated environment. This individual brings a strong blend of technical accounting expertise, critical thinking, and leadership, with the ability to translate financial data into meaningful insights. The ideal candidate is a collaborative partner who can navigate ambiguity, influence stakeholders, and support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day financial operations.

This role is fully remote. Candidates must reside in Oregon, Washington, Utah, or Idaho and must work PST hours.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and regulatory filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable standards.
• Lead financial analysis efforts, including variance analysis, cost allocations, budgeting, and forecasting, providing actionable insights to leadership.
• Support and coordinate external audits, including preparing audit schedules, resolving discrepancies, and partnering with auditors to ensure timely completion.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and enhancement of financial systems, policies, and internal controls.
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, supporting training, cross-functional collaboration, and execution of special projects or ad-hoc analyses.

Senior Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 4–5+ years of relevant accounting experience; CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with regulatory, cost, or government accounting standards (e.g., statutory or compliance-based reporting).
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and interpreting complex financial data.
• Proven ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and collaborate across departments in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced proficiency with financial systems, Excel, and presentation tools, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Compensation: $42-$43/hr. (DOE)
