Our client is seeking an experienced Product Manager to own the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of customer-facing software products. This individual will partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering, UX/UI, sales, and marketing to translate market and customer needs into high-value product capabilities. The ideal candidate brings hands-on SaaS product ownership experience, strong analytical skills, and a demonstrated ability to evaluate ROI, define meaningful product metrics, and successfully bring software products and enhancements to market.
This role is fully remote. Applicants must be located near Beaverton, Oregon or Phoenix, Arizona.
Product Manager Responsibilities
- Own the strategy, roadmap, and ongoing development of an external-facing software product, balancing customer needs, business value, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
- Lead the full product lifecycle from opportunity identification and business case development through requirements, prioritization, release planning, launch, and post-launch measurement.
- Conduct ROI assessments and use product analytics, KPIs, and other performance metrics to evaluate opportunities, prioritize investments, and measure product success.
- Translate business and customer needs into clearly defined epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and product requirements for development teams.
- Partner closely with software engineering and UX/UI teams to refine requirements, prioritize development work, and deliver intuitive, scalable product experiences.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, operations, client-facing teams, and other stakeholders to establish product priorities and support successful go-to-market strategies.
- Gather insights from customers, prospects, internal stakeholders, and industry sources to identify unmet needs and inform future product direction.
- Research competitors, market developments, emerging technologies, third-party solutions, and potential product extensions to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.
- Define reporting requirements and product metrics that provide actionable insight into adoption, performance, customer value, and business impact.
- Support product launches through stakeholder education, demonstrations, training, sales enablement materials, and other launch-readiness activities.
Product Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, technology, product management, or a related discipline; MBA or other relevant advanced degree is preferred.
- 3+ years of direct product management experience, including ownership of a software product and responsibility for product strategy, roadmap, and delivery.
- Demonstrated experience managing and launching SaaS or other software products designed for external customers.
- Experience developing business cases and performing ROI assessments to evaluate and prioritize product investments.
- Strong analytical capabilities, including experience defining reporting metrics, establishing KPIs, analyzing product performance, and using data to guide product decisions.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with software engineering, UX/UI, sales, marketing, finance, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience translating business requirements into epics, features, user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized development work.
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development practices and experience partnering directly with product development teams.
- Strong understanding of SaaS technologies, software capabilities, and technical concepts with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated success working directly with customers, prospects, users, and business stakeholders to understand needs and influence product direction.
- Strategic, results-oriented mindset with strong judgment, initiative, communication skills, and the ability to succeed in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Career history demonstrating meaningful ownership and sustained contribution within prior positions is preferred.
Preferred:
- MBA, product management certification, or other advanced business/product education.
- Experience with usability, interaction design, or user experience principles.
- Familiarity with legal technology, professional services software, or related technology-enabled service environments.
