Patient Access Specialist
Our client is seeking a Patient Access Specialist who is organized, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator who can confidently balance multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to patients, families, and clinical teams. This role is well suited for someone who combines attention to detail, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to supporting seamless patient access operations.

This role is on-site in Boston, Massachusetts.

Patient Access Specialist Responsibilities

• Support patient access and registration activities while ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, providers, and internal healthcare teams to deliver outstanding customer service.
• Accurately interpret and utilize medical terminology while maintaining complete and accurate records.
• Prioritize competing responsibilities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Utilize computer systems and standard office equipment to support daily administrative and patient access functions.

Patient Access Specialist Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least two years of experience in patient access, medical office, managed care, insurance, customer service, or a related healthcare setting.
• Strong computer proficiency with the ability to accurately enter data and use standard office technology.
• Excellent organizational, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment under pressure.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively; multilingual skills and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.

Compensation: $20/hr.
