Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist who thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and brings a strong commitment to accuracy and customer service. The ideal candidate is an analytical problem solver who can independently manage complex servicing activities while communicating effectively with customers, internal teams, and external partners.

This temporary contract role is on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day mortgage servicing activities, including loan boarding, billing, payment processing, payoffs, account maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Administer escrow accounts, including analyses, tax and insurance payments, account adjustments, mortgage insurance reviews, and related monitoring.
• Process specialized loan servicing activities, including adjustable-rate and balloon loan notices, re-amortizations, servicing transfers, and other investor-driven requirements.
• Research and resolve complex or escalated servicing inquiries while providing responsive support to internal and external customers.
• Maintain accurate loan records, support audits and reporting requirements, and contribute to process improvements, cross-training, and team initiatives.

Mortgage Loan Servicing Specialist Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in banking, mortgage loan servicing, or a comparable financial services environment required; High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Working knowledge of mortgage lending and servicing practices, documentation, regulations, investor requirements, policies, and procedures.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with a strong customer-service orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, loan servicing platforms, and standard office technology, with the ability to troubleshoot systems and identify efficient workflows.

Compensation: $20-$30/hr. (DOE)
