Manager of Corporate Safety
Our client is seeking a strategic Manager of Corporate Safety to lead and evolve global workplace safety programs across a complex, multi-site operational environment. This individual will serve as the driving force behind enterprise safety strategy, partnering with leadership across regions to create consistent standards, improve performance through data-driven decision-making, and foster a strong culture of prevention and accountability. The ideal candidate brings a blend of operational safety expertise, global perspective, and the leadership presence to influence teams at every level.
This role is a hybrid model in Fairview, Oregon.
Manager of Corporate Safety Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide safety policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks across global operations.
- Establish and promote a proactive, prevention-focused safety culture that reinforces accountability, employee engagement, and operational ownership at all levels of the organization.
- Partner closely with site leadership, local safety representatives, HR, and operations teams to ensure alignment with corporate safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Provide oversight and strategic guidance to safety leaders and site representatives across multiple international locations, ensuring consistency in execution and performance expectations.
- Conduct site audits, safety assessments, and operational reviews to evaluate program effectiveness, identify risk areas, and ensure adherence to internal standards and external regulatory obligations.
- Monitor compliance with applicable domestic and international safety regulations, including OSHA and comparable regional/global workplace safety requirements.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret safety performance data including incident trends, near misses, audit results, and corrective action outcomes to identify improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain global safety dashboards, KPIs, and executive reporting tools that provide meaningful visibility into organizational safety performance.
- Lead enterprise-wide continuous improvement initiatives focused on incident reduction, risk mitigation, process optimization, and long-term safety performance enhancement.
- Oversee investigations of significant workplace incidents, ensuring thorough root cause analysis, appropriate escalation, documentation, and implementation of sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Establish clear standards for incident reporting, response protocols, documentation practices, and communication expectations across all locations.
- Design and implement scalable safety training programs and development initiatives to strengthen organizational capability, leadership accountability, and regulatory readiness.
- Facilitate cross-site collaboration and knowledge sharing by promoting best practices, lessons learned, and standardized approaches across global teams.
- Present regular safety performance updates, strategic recommendations, and incident summaries to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support organizational growth, operational changes, and evolving business needs by adapting safety programs to meet emerging risks and priorities.
Manager of Corporate Safety Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7–10+ years of progressive safety leadership experience, ideally within multi-site, global, manufacturing, industrial, technology infrastructure, or operations-driven environments.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing enterprise safety programs across geographically dispersed operations.
- Strong working knowledge of domestic and international workplace safety regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Demonstrated success leveraging safety metrics, reporting, dashboards, and data analysis to drive measurable improvements and informed decision-making.
- Experience leading incident investigations, root cause analysis efforts, and enterprise corrective action programs.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, operational leaders, and executive teams.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with experience translating complex safety concepts into actionable business recommendations.
- Proven ability to work effectively across global teams, cultural differences, and diverse operational environments.
- Results-driven mindset with a strong track record of continuous improvement, operational execution, and measurable safety outcomes.
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, NEBOSH, or similar credentials are strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting operations across North America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific is highly preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally up to 25–50%.
