Human Resources Assistant
Our non-profit client is seeking a highly organized and customer service-oriented Human Resources Assistant to support a large and diverse employee population. This individual brings strong emotional intelligence, adaptability, and a proactive mindset. The ideal candidate is tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and comfortable navigating complex systems and personalities with professionalism and ease.
This role is based in Oregon City, Oregon.
Human Resources Assistant Responsibilities
- Provide front-line HR support, serving as the first point of contact for employee inquiries, walk-ins, and HR service desk tickets.
- Coordinate and support collective bargaining activities, including scheduling, note-taking, and communication across stakeholders.
- Support end-to-end new hire onboarding processes, partnering closely with talent acquisition and ensuring compliance with required documentation and systems.
- Maintain and update HR systems, including HRIS, ATS, and ERP platforms, ensuring data accuracy and timely processing of employee information.
- Deliver administrative support to the HR team as needed, including calendaring, meeting coordination, documentation, and cross-functional project support.
Human Resources Assistant Qualifications
- 2–3 years of experience in human resources, administrative support, or a related field.
- Proven experience with onboarding processes, human resources, and administrative or executive support.
- Industry experience in education, non-profit, or governmental agencies is a +.
- Strong technical aptitude with experience in HRIS and ATS systems, as well as Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and Teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support diverse personalities and explain processes clearly.
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Compensation: $27-$29/hr. (DOE)
