Clinical Intake & Correspondence Specialist (Remote)
Our client is seeking a Clinical Intake & Correspondence Specialist who is a detail-oriented, empathetic communicator and thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for important health care requests, using your patience, curiosity, and strong organizational skills to keep every case moving smoothly. This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah and able to work PST hours.

Clinical Intake & Correspondence Specialist Responsibilities

• Receive, research, and take initial action on documentation and requests from members, providers, and internal teams.
• Review requests for completeness and follow up to obtain any missing information, without performing clinical evaluation or interpretation.
• Validate preauthorization requirements, benefits, and eligibility, and accurately document findings across multiple systems.
• Create and manage cases in the care management system, and document inpatient admission and discharge notifications.
• Coordinate with clinical staff, other departments, and vendors to resolve issues and deliver complete, timely responses.

Clinical Intake & Correspondence Specialist Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus 3 years of customer service or clinical services experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, with experience in health care systems such as EMR, billing, and claims.
• Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, internet research) and the ability to work in multiple systems at once.
• Strong written and verbal communication, data entry, and organizational skills, with the ability to work quickly, independently, and meet deadlines in a production environment.
• Ability to work remotely full time, with flexibility for weekends, holidays, overtime, and hours past 6:00 PM Pacific Time.

Compensation: $25-$27/hr. (DOE)
