IT & Automation Manager
Our client is seeking an IT & Automation Manager to lead technology initiatives that enhance security, optimize business systems, and improve operational efficiency across the organization. This individual will play a key role in supporting CMMC compliance efforts, administering enterprise systems, advancing automation initiatives, and introducing AI solutions in a secure, well-governed environment while serving as a trusted technology partner to teams across the business.

This role is on-site in Redmond, Oregon.

IT & Automation Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and support CMMC compliance initiatives, including certification preparation, documentation, implementation activities, employee training, and ongoing compliance maintenance.
  • Administer, support, and continuously improve Epicor ERP and other enterprise business systems, including system implementations, upgrades, integrations, testing, and user adoption.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions that streamline business processes, reduce manual data entry, improve workflows, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate, pilot, and deploy AI tools that improve business operations while establishing governance standards, security controls, and responsible usage guidelines.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify technology-driven process improvements and deliver scalable solutions that support organizational objectives.
  • Coordinate with third-party IT vendors to manage support requests, technology projects, infrastructure improvements, and service delivery timelines.
  • Provide hands-on technical support for hardware, software, user accounts, printers, peripheral devices, and Microsoft 365 applications while escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Manage user access, security permissions, system provisioning, onboarding and offboarding activities, and IT asset inventory.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, cybersecurity best practices, and the identification and remediation of potential system vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, workflows, and system training materials.
  • Assist with technology procurement, software licensing, and lifecycle management of IT hardware and enterprise applications.
  • Monitor emerging technologies, automation platforms, and AI capabilities, recommending solutions that align with business needs, security requirements, and long-term technology strategy.

IT & Automation Manager Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in IT support, systems coordination, ERP administration, network administration, or a related technology role.
  • Experience supporting CMMC compliance, cybersecurity frameworks, or regulated environments, including certification preparation, documentation, policy implementation, and ongoing compliance activities.
  • Hands-on experience administering Epicor ERP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, including system support, enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
  • Experience supporting enterprise business systems and collaborating on technology implementations, testing, data management, and user adoption initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, Active Directory, user account management, hardware troubleshooting, and help desk ticketing systems.
  • Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, endpoint support, IT infrastructure, and enterprise technology environments.
  • Experience evaluating, implementing, or supporting AI tools, automation platforms, or AI-assisted business applications in a business setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and implement automation solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based technologies, cybersecurity best practices, backup and disaster recovery procedures, and secure data management.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to quickly learn new technologies and collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party IT vendors and managing multiple technology initiatives simultaneously.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications, or similar credentials are a plus.

Salary: $80K-$90K/year. (DOE)
