Merchandise Planning Analyst
Our client is seeking a Merchandise Planning Analyst to support assortment strategy across the full product lifecycle. In this role, you will partner with a close-knit team and a broad group of cross-functional stakeholders to make sure product offerings are profitable, differentiated, and aligned to customer needs.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Merchandise Planning Analyst Responsibilities
- Support pre-season planning and execution of category assortments, making sure they align with customer needs, pricing, and distribution decisions.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve issues related to product flow, pricing, and placement, and carry the category vision through to the sales floor.
- Monitor and manage in-season performance, adjusting plans as needed to drive profitable, incremental growth.
- Use consumer insights and market trends to segment assortments and set the business apart in a competitive marketplace.
- Prepare post-season recaps and present business results to internal audiences.
- Take on shifting priorities and additional responsibilities as business needs change.
Merchandise Planning Analyst Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising, planning, or a similar role.
- Strong retail business acumen, including a working understanding of assortment planning and product management.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to share insights clearly with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-moving environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability to pivot between responsibilities as needed.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
Compensation: Up to $38/hr. (DOE)
