Operations Expert/Process Engineer (Swing Shift)
Our client is seeking an Operations Expert/Process Engineer to join their specialty electronics manufacturing team on swing shift, supporting the production of ceramic substrates and thick film circuits. This role sits at the intersection of production, quality, and continuous improvement, reporting to the Production Manager. No prior experience is required – full training is provided on equipment operation, precision inspection, and process methodology, with a clear growth path from running pre-configured machines to independently setting up equipment, writing programs, and optimizing system performance.

This role is on-site in Beaverton, Oregon and will work swing shift Monday-Thursday from 2PM-12:30AM.

Operations Expert/Process Engineer Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment and perform dimensional inspection using precision measurement tools, including calipers and coordinate measurement machines.
• Troubleshoot processing issues and help implement effective process solutions.
• Support process improvement efforts by helping design, run, and document controlled experiments to build process capability.
• Participate in developing and refining department procedures, training materials, and quality standards.
• Track inventory, orders, and shipments, and manage documentation, compliance, and reporting tasks as needed.
• Analyze operational and performance data to identify opportunities to reduce costs and delays.
• Coordinate across departments and with vendors to keep workflows and schedules running smoothly.
• Assist with additional production and organizational tasks as assigned, including covering for other team members when needed.

Operations Expert/Process Engineer Qualifications

• Strong math skills, including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and machine shop math.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment with attention to detail and precision.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with solid problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, dashboards, or reporting software.
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic, dependability, and a genuine willingness to learn new technical skills.

Compensation: $24+/hr. (DOE)
