End Point Engineer
Our client is seeking an End Point Engineer to take ownership of endpoint management, automation, and workstation support within a collaborative IT environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, reducing manual work through scripting and automation, and serving as a technical resource for complex desktop support initiatives. The ideal candidate is proactive, solutions-oriented, and motivated to build scalable processes that improve the overall efficiency of the IT team.

This role is a hybrid model in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

End Point Engineer Responsibilities

• Lead endpoint lifecycle management, including device imaging, provisioning, configuration, software deployment, and retirement for Windows and macOS systems.
• Design and implement automation solutions using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash to streamline workstation deployment, software distribution, and routine IT processes.
• Manage endpoint patching, vulnerability remediation, and security compliance to maintain a secure and reliable computing environment.
• Administer and support endpoint security technologies, including antivirus, encryption, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
• Serve as the primary escalation resource for advanced desktop, operating system, and application support issues that extend beyond the help desk.
• Develop and improve standardized processes that reduce manual effort and enable the IT support team to operate more efficiently.
• Collaborate with IT staff to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced end-user support.
• Maintain accurate documentation for endpoint configurations, deployment procedures, and operational best practices.

End Point Engineer Qualifications

• Experience supporting and administering Windows and macOS endpoint environments.
• Proven ability to develop automation and scripting solutions using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with operating system imaging, device provisioning, software deployment, and endpoint lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of endpoint security, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance best practices.
• Experience supporting endpoint management tools and security platforms, including EDR and encryption technologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex workstation, operating system, and application issues with minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of AI-powered tools or automation technologies that improve IT operations and service delivery is highly preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with a continuous improvement mindset.

Compensation: $33-$45/hr. (DOE)
