Project Manager
Our client is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-functional new product development and technology initiatives within a highly regulated engineering environment. This hybrid role partners with global teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to drive complex projects from planning through execution while ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical project management experience, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to deliver results in a regulated industry.

This role is a hybrid model in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional and international teams in the planning and execution of new technology and new product development initiatives.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and milestones to support successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project performance using key metrics, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure project objectives align with customer needs and organizational priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, including supporting supplier evaluation and selection activities for project success.
  • Provide regular project status updates and recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams regarding progress, risks, and deliverables.
  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to support product development activities that comply with applicable quality management system requirements.
  • Participate in quality system or product audit activities as needed and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Support additional project management and operational responsibilities as assigned.

Project Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 4 years of project management experience within the medical device industry or another highly regulated environment.
  • Experience leading global or international development projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex technical projects from initiation through completion.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Working knowledge of medical device development processes.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile and other project management methodologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations, MDR requirements, and regulated product development preferred.
  • Experience working within ISO 13485 and/or 21 CFR Part 820 quality management systems preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15% as business needs require.
